How SpearPoint Scans started

Tyler founded SpearPoint Scans after years of experience as a licensed general contractor across the Front Range of Colorado. Working projects from start to finish, he saw firsthand how much the value of accurate as built data gets underestimated, even at the very end of a job when it matters most. The most reliable way to capture that data today is with ultra high density point clouds.

Tyler's experience gathering this kind of data goes back further than SpearPoint Scans. In his own words:

“My previous employment had me flying around the country gathering as built data on prospective real estate investment opportunities. Having little more than an hour per location, I needed to gather as much information as possible to aid in market decision making.”

Where we're headed

SpearPoint Scans started by scanning medium and large warehouses, along with small and medium commercial spaces. Since then, demand has grown into residential projects as well, and we now work with architects, engineers, contractors, designers, and planners across Colorado.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: provide high end LiDAR services at a budget friendly price point, and make LiDAR affordable to everyone, for every project, not just the largest ones.

We didn't invent the point cloud or the laser scanner. What we offer is our service: an engineer's eye for precision on every project, at a price that makes LiDAR accessible instead of exclusive.
